Old Cape Bitter

Symbolic product of the Caffo distillery, it is among the most famous herbal liqueurs, the result of an ancient Calabrian recipe reworked, revisited and corrected by the same family for four generations. Vecchio Amaro del Capo contains the active principles of numerous medicinal herbs, flowers, roots and fruit, all natural and coming from Calabria, infused in the finest alcohol to accompany digestion and give a pleasant sensation of well-being. Bitter and sweet orange, licorice roots, chamomile and juniper are just some of the components, known precisely for their tonic properties , for a delicate and gentle taste that knows how to match even the most delicate palates.

Bronze color of good transparency with coppery reflections. The nose reveals intense aromas of medicinal herbs, orange and juniper berries, as well as aromatic herbs and a slight pungent note of alcohol, a note that we also find when tasting, in a pleasant context, decisive but delicate at the same time and full of returns herbaceous and citrus, towards a long persistence.

Calabrian herbal liqueur, the result of an ancient recipe developed over time by the four generations who have followed one another at the helm of the Caffo distillery. Derived from a careful blend of 29 medicinal herbs, it owes its gentle and aromatic taste above all to bitter orange, sweet orange, licorice, mandarin, chamomile and juniper. To be drunk rigorously iced, at -20° centigrade in the characteristic small glasses of the Capo, to enhance the characteristics of the particular herbs that compose it. Also excellent in the preparation of special cocktails.
