The tonnara tuna, also known as bluefin tuna, is the most valuable Callipo line, reserved for true connoisseurs and refined palates. By now increasingly rare and delicious, it belongs to the Thunnus Thynnus species and lives in the Mediterranean Sea. It is characterized by an intense pink colored meat, a good consistency and a savory taste. After being caught, it is processed from fresh in the Maierato (VV) factory, where the entire processing cycle is carried out, from the selection of the pieces to cleaning, from steam cooking to packaging, in full respect of the ancient artisan tradition. For the high quality that characterizes Tuna di Tonnara, it is recommended to taste it alone or with foods that do not cover the flavour.
