Susamelle

Susamelli are fragrant honey biscuits with a semi-soft consistency; they are produced throughout the year by many patisseries and confectionery shops in the Calabrian area.

The flattened shape and the chocolate or icing coating means that they can be easily confused with the Pitte di San Martino; from the latter they differ in the absence of raisins, candied fruit and almonds.
