A liqueur made with traditional Mediterranean herbs and roots, laurel, wild fennel and licorice, which have high digestive properties. Tasted very cold at the end of a meal or as a thirst quencher, combined with a splash of tonic water, a slice of lemon and some ice. Ideal for delicious affogatos, especially with creamy hazelnut ice cream.

OUR KEPHAS IS COMPOSED OF:

WILD FENNEL

Contains anethole (on which its aroma depends), phencone, anisic ketone, dipinene, camphene, phellandrene, dipentene and methylcavilic acid.
It is an emmenagogue, diuretic, carminative, antiemetic, aromatic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, liver tonic. It is used for those with digestive and breastfeeding difficulties to reduce air colic in children.
In fact, it is known that an infusion made with the seeds of this plant is very effective in the treatment of abdominal swelling. It also fights the fermentative processes of the large intestine, and therefore decreases intestinal gas.

LAUREL

The leaves are used and various uses can be made: in the kitchen, to flavor;
to prepare refreshing decoctions with digestive qualities, or treated with alcohol to obtain a perfumed and aromatic liqueur with digestive, stimulating, antiseptic properties and useful against coughs and bronchitis.

LICORICE

Popular tradition attributes various pharmacological properties to the licorice root: digestive, anti-inflammatory, purifying, diuretic
and protective of the mucosa. The leaves with healing, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory properties should be used fresh. Antiulcerous, emollient, refreshing, expectorant, corticostimulant and antiphlogistic. Licorice extract is widespread above all in Calabria.
Hippocrates recommended it against cough.
