Cirò Red Reserve
Owned by the Sculco brothers, the company, in production since 1912, extends over thirteen hectares of vineyards in the ancient territory of Magna Grecia. For them, being winemakers implies productive freedom and experimentation, and in any case the major work is done in the vineyard. The new line, Terre di Apollo, in rosé and red versions, is linked by a single common thread: Gaglioppo, a historic native vine. The greatest satisfactions come from these same grapes, with the Cirò Superiore Riserva, which leaves you speechless with its aromatic richness in its splendid garnet colour. Nose oriented towards tones of undergrowth, damp earth, fern, pink pepper, to then close with small red berries and generous balsamic puffs. Decided freshness and sapidity; smooth tannins that lead back to the initial sensations. With Morzeddhu, in Calabrian small bite, tripe and veal entrails with tomato, oregano and the ever-present abundant chilli pepper.
The Cirò red classic superior reserve DOC is produced by Gaglioppo grapes .
