Dried chickpeas or ciciari are a typical food of Calabrian cuisine. It has been, for centuries, a main dish of the Mediterranean diet, typically Calabrian. To be cooked and flavored with aromas with a strong flavor such as chilli pepper, the king of the Calabrian table.
Our chickpeas produced from crops from our fields. Rich in vitamins, potassium, iron and proteins. They are obtained through a natural process. Completely fat-free, they are suitable for any type of use.
Preparation advice :
Leave the chickpeas to soak for at least 6/8 hours; Then drain, rinse and put them in a saucepan covered with water, which must exceed the level of the chickpeas by two fingers. Simmer for 2-3 hours; add salt when almost cooked. Leave to cool in the cooking water.
